The GDC opened a 12-week consultation on guidance for early-stage fitness-to-practise decisions. Its stated closing time is 23:59 on 2 November 2026.
Dental students and professionals can read the proposals to understand the issues under review. Draft guidance is not yet an adopted replacement for current rules.
