A GUIDE FOR BRITISH STUDENTS
Study Pharmacy in Europe in English
A pharmacy degree brings together medicines, laboratory science and professional practice. Compare the complete qualification and practical training, not just the course title or the first-year fee.

Understand the award and practical training
Check whether the programme leads to a professional pharmacy qualification and how practical placements are arranged. Ask where the placement takes place, which language is used, and whether extra registration or training is needed after the degree.
Use the current admissions notice
Universities may change their test or selection process between academic years. For example, the current Bologna Pharmacy listing names CEnT-S while older course pages may mention another test. Match preparation materials to your exact intake.
Returning to practise in Great Britain
The GPhC assesses eligibility under the applicable qualification and registration routes. A European degree is not automatically interchangeable with a UK MPharm. Check the specific award, practical-training evidence, English requirements and the position at graduation.
Questions to ask before applying
- Does the award qualify graduates for pharmacy practice in the awarding country?
- Who arranges the placement and pays any associated costs?
- What additional steps would the GPhC require from my specific qualification?
