Compare the practical experience
Ask how teaching balances companion animals, farm animals, equine work and public health. Check the location, duration and assessment of placements, including travel, accommodation and any final practical-semester fees.
Dossier selection, science tests and exemptions
Entry routes vary by university. A published school-record route is different from a science-test route, and an exemption must be confirmed for the qualifications you hold. Use the profiles below to inspect those differences.
The January 2029 RCVS change matters now
The RCVS states that from January 2029 the specified recognition route will require direct RCVS programme accreditation. Current EAEVE status alone cannot settle the position for a student who graduates after that date. Obtain advice about the exact programme and any statutory examination route.
Questions to ask before applying
- How much supervised clinical experience will I complete across different species?
- Are final-semester placements and travel included in the quoted cost?
- What will the RCVS require for my programme and graduation year?
