Using MedStudy
Accessibility at MedStudy
We want students, families and advisers to be able to use MedStudy in the way that works for them.
Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. Our assessment is incomplete, so we do not currently claim that every page and function meets that standard.
Ways to use the website
- Use the “Skip to content” link to move past the header.
- Use Tab and Shift+Tab to move between links and controls, and Enter or Space to activate the appropriate control.
- Use Escape to close the mobile navigation and return to its menu button.
- Wide comparison tables have a labelled scroll area. Focus that area to scroll it with the keyboard.
- Programme profiles link to official sources, and the admissions checklist and planning tools include print options.
Assessment and known limitations
The latest review began on . It includes checks of page structure, control labels, keyboard focus handling, colour combinations, narrow layouts and print styles.
Testing with screen readers, physical mobile devices, browser text resizing and all supported browsers remains incomplete. Browser print previews also require further checking. The accessibility of the downloadable PDFs and the third-party newsletter subscription form has not yet been fully verified.
These limits remain open while we improve the website. An automated check or a code change on its own does not establish accessibility conformance.
If something is difficult to use
Please contact MedStudy and include the page address, what you were trying to do and what prevented you from doing it. If helpful, tell us which browser or assistive technology you use. You can also ask for the information in another format.
If the newsletter form is difficult to use, the contact page provides an email route to ask for help.
